Ultrasonography (USG)

Ultrasonography is a harmless and painless, but very informative and quickly performed visual diagnostic examination, which is used to evaluate the structure of various organs and soft tissues. Ultrasonography is a method based on the ability of ultrasound to penetrate tissues of different densities. The advantages of ultrasonography are the ability to assess tissues in real time (“here and now”), the speed of the examination, relative harmlessness to the patient’s health, extensive information about the condition of tissues and organ systems of various localization, as well as technical simplicity. These properties allow the method to be used by both radiologists and doctors of various specialties, and only in unclear cases are more complex visual diagnostic methods used in differential diagnostics. Today, ultrasonography has become one of the most important visual diagnostic methods.
