ECHO cardiography

Medical Center "LIEPA" offers diagnostic examinations using the ECHO cardiography method.
ECHO cardiography is a heart examination using ultrasound. This examination allows you to determine the anatomical structure of the heart, the size of the ventricles and atria, their contractility, the thickness of the heart walls, the presence of scars or blood clots after a myocardial infarction, assess the condition of the heart valves and their function, as well as the functional state of the heart muscle. ECHO cardiography helps to see those anomalies that are dangerous for the patient, but do not cause any complaints for a long time. The ECHO cardiography examination method can diagnose the degree of heart failure, assess the condition of the heart valves in order to diagnose congenital and acquired heart diseases, reveal the cause of high blood pressure and exclude the possibility of cardiomyopathy after a viral infection. ECHO cardiography is non-invasive and completely harmless to the patient. It can also be performed on pregnant women.
An echocardiogram is useful if:
-
complaints about heart rhythm;
-
fainting of unclear etiology;
-
increased arterial pressure;
-
pain in the heart area;
-
shortness of breath, etc.
